Our little cattery with the name MILLAARAQ, registered in ”Hallandskatten”. The name originates  from Greenland and means the one whom hyms and smiles. The modern version of the name is ”Smilla”, that also happens to be our daughters name.

We live in a beatiful town called Strömstad, 25 km from the Norwegian border on the west coast of Sweden. The nature i breathtaking and we love to spend our sparetime in our boat at sea among all the small islands. Or just be out in the woods picking mushroms.

Our familly includes my boyfriend Niclas, me Nicole, our daugther Smilla and our sons Robin and Liam. Our oldest son Robin dosen´t live at home. Liam, our 12 year old boy is a sportsguy that loves hockey and fotball. He also loves to hang out with the family, friends and of course our animals.

Niclas is the main reason to that we decided to have cats of the breed British Shorthair. When he moved back to Sweden from Jersey he took his cat with him, a B.S female. So when we meet nearly 10 years ago I had the honour to meet the lovely Rascal. This awooken my interest for this lovely breed. It took until 2007  before we decided to find a good B.S. We looked around and found Millie, a decision we never regreted.

My intrest for animals came early I´ve grown up with dogs and cats and I´ve also been riding since I was only 2 years old. So at first I was a horse girl, then a dog girl and now a cat lady. But to be honest, I´m a dog woman with a great interest in cats. And beeing fortunate to have a B.S of very good quality the interest of breeding started to grow. Mainly because of all the different  colour combinations and the lovely type of the breed.

 We hope that with our breed we will have the pleasure of breeding even more good typed B.S.

Our goal is to breed welltyped, qualitycats with great tempraments with everything a good B.S stands fore.
